The long awaited debut of the Carlson Acrylic Duck Call is finally here! These calls were two years in the making and extensively field tested in harsh winter-like conditions. They perform to and meet all the strict quality control standards we demand of all our other calls. This call design resists sticking from excess moisture accumulation. Each call is hand polished to a beautiful glass-like finish and is laser etched with the distinctive Diamond Triple "C" Carlson logo. The Acrylic calls begin at $125 and go up in $25 increments to $250.

The Carlson Acrylic Duck Call combines the benefits of acrylic materials with traditional hand-crafting expertise. This call combines the tradition of the World Champion Carlson hand-crafted design with the stability that acrylic affords. All the sounding surfaces are hand cut and each call is tuned by World Champion caller, Jim James. The Carlson Acrylic Duck Call produces the mellow sounds of a wooden call and will do all the things necessary to call the wariest of ducks. Additionally, it will allow the serious calling student wanting to learn the copyrighted Carlson System Of Call Operation© to vastly improve his calling skills.
As with our World Champion hand-crafted calls, design time involving the functionalism of the acrylic calls determines the final cost. All CCC calls work!! Where each of its design characteristics fall on the various acceptability parameter curves (which represent technically each of the numerous functions of a call) determine how ideally it will interface with proper operational coordination. The amount of correction for deviation from center norm on these curves is the result of the time I have spent on that call. In short, the more time I spend, the better it works, and the more it costs.
I provide calls in low, medium, and high volume in all of the price ranges. BUT, the volume range required for various hunting conditions and acoustical environments has no bearing upon the cost of these calls.
Acrylic calls are also available in world class competition quality and volume. Four different volume ranges are offered. This class of call is available at $250.00. Again, the cost is not a reflection of volume category. The volume level of these calls is too loud for the "normal" hunting environment. However, it can be a real "ace in the hole" on VERY windy days or areas where the birds can be seen (and called) at extreme distances. They won't come to calls they can't hear! Conversely, too loud and you'll blow them away. As a result of the extremely versatile nature of this type of call, they can be brought down in volume to about the same level as a mid volume call…IF PROPERLY OPERATED. Every call that I send out is accompanied by information concerning its proper care.
Normally, I stock acrylic calls in all price and volume categories. Turn around time on orders is about 2 to 3 days. Be sure to include your shipping address. Please specify what call volume you want, such as: low, medium, or high. Unless otherwise specified the mid volume to loud side of mid volume call design will be sent. It is the most generally applicable volume range for various hunting conditions and acoustical environments.
