Molded Calls
Carlson Championship Calls features two injected molded calls; the Equalizer and the patented VoloChoke. The research and development that went into making these calls a reality was an ongoing pursuit for 25 years. The VoloChoke duck call is the result of all that hard work and expense. The computerized injection molding process is what allow the calls to be produced at a reasonable price which can then be passed along to the waterfowlering public.
The universal sounding surface of the molded insert is what makes the VoloChoke so unique. It is what allowed it to be patented by the United States government. No other call on the market can accept such a drastic design change as the chokes provide and still operate through the full range of sounds the serious waterfowler demands. All this with the same reed!
With the VoloChoke you get 4 calls in 1. You get four distinct volume level calls in one. By simply changing the volume insert you change volume and, in effect, change calls. No longer do you need to have 3 or 4 calls hanging around your neck and God knows how many others in your blind bag. The VoloChoke is the only mass produced, injected molded plastic call to ever win the World Duck Calling Contest!
The Equalizer call is shot in the same mold as the VoloChoke and is a fixed volume call. It produces the same volume as the green choke in the VoloChoke. We consider that to be a General Application volume and is suitable for most hunting situations. The Equalizer is also available in a louder Open Water version as well as a competition version.
